Conventional Tournament Knife throwers that have not been ranked in an IKTHOF tournament and have not reached the score of 200 points, or have not ranked Expert Amateur Division with 200 points or better, or have not been ranked in the IKTHOF NON TOURNAMENT Ranking system with a score of 200 or better may enter the Amateur Knife Throwing Division.

AMATEUR KNIFE DIVISION
Three (3) knives will be required. Each thrower will throw the same three Knives for each distance: Distances are 1/2 spin (2 meters) by the blade, 1 spin (3 meters) by the handle, 1 1/2 spin (4 meters) by the blade, and 2 spin (5 meters) by the handle. All designated meters are minimum distances. Knives are scored as they stick, and each thrower must have 3 knives of the same length and style. Knives must be at least 12 inches long and no longer than 16 inches. It is very strongly suggested that knives weigh at least one ounce per inch or heavier to compete for the safety of the person in the next lane.
1-99 points Novice
100-199 Intermediate
200 – 240 Expert
AMATEUR HAWK DIVISION
Conventional Tournament Hawk throwers that have not been ranked in an IKTHOF tournament and have not reached the score of 140 points, or have not been ranked in the IKTHOF NON TOURNAMENT Ranking system with a score of 140 or better may enter the Amateur Hawk Division.
The World Championship 3 target, 3 distance, 4 lane IKTHOF Amateur division conventional tomahawk competition. Three hawks will be required. Each thrower will throw the same three Tomahawks for each distance: distances are 1 spin (3 meters) blade facing forward before the throw, 1 1⁄2 spin (4 meters) blade facing backward before the throw, and 2 spin (5 meters) blade facing forward before the throw. Tomahawks are scored as they stick, and each thrower must throw the same Hawks from all distances and have 3 Hawks of the same length and style. Three IKTHOF regulation targets. Targets will have 10 cm or 4-inch center (worth 5 points), 20 cm ring (worth 4 points), a 30 cm outer ring (worth 3 points), a 40 cm ring (worth 2 points), and a 50 cm ring (worth 1 point). Hawks are scored as they stick, and each thrower must have 3 hawks of the same length and style. The targets will be thrown from left to right. Heights of targets are top targets 60 inches to center, center target 50-inches to center; 3 Hawks will be required with 13 inch handles or longer and no more than a 4 1/2 inch cutting edge.
