Who knew axe-throwing could be the perfect date night? My wife and I had an absolute blast – so much fun that we closed down the place! Our trusty instructors, who shall remain nameless but were awesome nonetheless, even joined in on our impromptu challenge. And afterwards we hit up a great bar downstairs for drinks… talk about hitting it out of the park (or should say tossing?). If you’re looking to add some edge to your relationship, definitely give this one a try. – J

We had my husband’s surprise birthday at an axe-throwing place, and I’d rate it a bullseye! Not only were the bar tenders super accommodating to our large party of eight, but we weren’t cramped in this surprisingly spacious venue. All that left was for us to throw some axes – what more could you ask for? – c

As soon as we stepped through the door, we were welcomed with open arms. We received a helpful tutorial to prepare us for an hour of ax-throwing mayhem – who knew it could be so much fun? The beer selection could not be beat and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful… they even taught us how to throw like pros (which may come in handy down the line). Top notch music too. For our date night, we decided to try something outside-the-box – an hour of axe/tomahawk/knife throwing! The venue had a spectacular setup with several rooms for destruction in addition to the designated axes and tomahawks area. We arrived early which allowed us some time before staff set up; plus they were helpful and taught us all there was to know about safe rules as well as basic techniques. To top it off, staff members came by intermittently throughout our visit making sure everything went smoothly without being intrusive at all. In another room over we heard people having loads of fun smashing stuff – although things got slightly loud we thankfully didn’t need those earplugs afterall!! Who said movie nights are boring? – G

But don’t worry about being cramped; the space may have been small but it was super fun. Celebrating my birthday took a smashing turn when my husband surprised me with an experience that was truly explosive! We had only 20 minutes of pure destruction, but it felt like the perfect amount – I think all that throwing and bashing wore us out more than expected. The tools of our rampage included bats, sledgehammers, bucketloads full o’ glass bottles to throw ’round (or golf club at if we liked!), plus some other goodies in between. Although there were paintball guns too… let’s just say they weren’t as much fun for this rebel girl – A

We got our hands on an awesome selection of weapons ranging from windscreens and bottles to keyboards and CPUs – plus an extra special paintball gun surprise. And let’s not forget axe throwing: it was stress relief at its finest! The folks were super helpful too; they even supplied bandaids (which we weren’t brave enough to need) AND offered up photos so you can relive your rampage again later. – M
