A professional conventional Knife or Hawk thrower is a by definition a Knife and Hawk thrower who throws both Knives and Hawks for conventional competition with Money involved for the top Throwers of the day. First time throwers wishing to throw in the Pro Division may do so regardless of past scores. Any Knife thrower scoring in the expert category of an IKTHOF Amateur throw MUST enter the Pro Division or, if eligible, the Senior Division. Any Hawk thrower scoring in the expert category of an IKTHOF Amateur throw Must enter the Pro Division or, if eligible, the Senior Division. Throwers will throw the Pro Division Hawk and Knife if they have scored EXPERT in either Knife or Hawk and are not eligible for the Senior Division. Throwers will combine the scores of both Pro Knife and Pro Hawk to be eligible for monetary rewards.

The amount of money received by the top scoring throwers will be determined by the number of participants in the professional throwing ranks throwing both Knife and Hawk.

PRO DIVISION KNIFE 

All Throwers will throw 3 knives at 3 targets moving back to the next distance after each three knives, 4 times total per distance for a total of 60 knives, 15 knives on four separate ranges for a total of 300 points. Minimum distances are: 1 spin by the handle (3 meters),1 1⁄2 spin by the blade (4 meters), 2 spins by the handle(5 meters), 2 1⁄2 spins by the blade (6 meters), and 3 spin by the handle (7 Meters). Knives are scored as they stick, and each thrower must have 3 knives of the same length and style. Knives must be at least 12 inches long and no longer than 16 inches. It is very strongly suggested that knives weigh at least one ounce per inch or heavier to compete for safety of the person in the next lane.

Three IKTHOF regulation targets. Targets will have 10 cm or 4-inch center (worth 5points), 20 cm ring (worth 4 points), a 30 cm outer ring (worth 3 points), a 40 cm ring (worth 2 points), and a 50 cm ring (worth 1 point). The targets will be thrown from left to right. Heights of targets are top targets 60 inches to center, center target 50-inches to center.

PRO DIVISION HAWK

In the 3 target, 5 distance, 4 lane Professional Conventional Hawk throwers IKTHOF Conventional Competition, 3 Hawks will be required with 13-inch handles or longer and no more than a 4 1/2 inch cutting edge. Each thrower will throw the same three Tomahawks for each minimum distance: 1 spin (3 meters) handle down blade facing forward before the throw, 1 1⁄2 spin (4 meters) handle up blade facing backwards before the throw, 2 spin (5 meter) handle down blade facing forward before the throw, 2 1⁄2 spins (7 meters) handle up blade facing backwards before the throw, and 3 spins (9 meters) handle down blade facing forward before the throw. Tomahawks are scored as they stick. Each thrower must throw the same Hawks from all distances and have 3 hawks of the same length and style.
