If you’re looking for Denver axe throwing, these would be our suggestions. Denver has a couple of choices, from the bigger brands to the small indy venues.
Axe Whooping – Axe Throwing Denver Co
A good choice for a fun day out. A member of the World Axe Throwing League and they have a ‘rage room’ if you get a bit too frustrated about missing the target.

With 45 rowdy crew members, our staff event had to be one epic party – and that’s exactly what it was! Axe Whooping went above and beyond with their hospitality. From axe throwing tutorials to friendly competitions in the Rage Room, there wasn’t a single moment of boredom during this get-together. We even got some of our shyer team members laughing out loud; all thanks to the super fun atmosphere created by your amazing staff. So much joy from just 5 stars? That deserves an extra throw at those axes! – A
Me and my dear hubby went to our work’s latest outing, which had us swinging axes…and holy cow did we have a blast! He was like some kind of lumberjack master as he hit the bullseye with each swing. Even cooler were Trevor & Samantha who showed off their ninja-star expertise – it definitely added an extra awesome factor. Then there was this other dude that cracked me up but I’m blanking on his name (oops)! Anyway if you’re ever looking for somewhere fun to hang out then Axe Throwing is your spot – plus they even have something called ‘wreck room’ so let the good times keep rolling! – R
Bad Axe Throwing Denver (Colfax Ave.)

We had a blast at our birthday celebration! We were kept safe and secure by the amazing Kitty, who was nothing short of courteous. So much fun that we’re already planning to come back for more awesome adventures! – D
Before we knew it, our vacation had a surprise highlight! With some free time on hand, why not take the plunge and go axe-throwing? We couldn’t believe how much fun it was – but that’s not all, if you ask nicely they’ll even let you wield a knife or two for only five extra bucks. Now THAT’S worth throwing in your pocket change for! – S
Class Axe Throwing Denver
Price Range: $$
Address: 3400 E 52nd Ave, Denver, CO 80216
After one visit to this incredible establishment, we’ll never want to go anywhere else! From David’s engaging and educational team building experiences, to Shelley’s beyond-stellar hospitality customer service – it was an unbeatable combination. We had a blast (no pun intended) learning about Class Acts’ throwing experience from the knowledgeable Shelly…so if you’re looking for something special for your group or just some fun times then look no further! – N
Shelly was a sensational host! Her humor and flair kept us in stitches, while the venue itself provided an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for something extraordinary to do – this is it! We can’t wait to come back soon. – R
Bad Axe Throwing Denver (Washington St.)
A second Bad Axe venue for the city. No big difference, but helpful for availability.
Price Range: $$
Address: 7338 Washington St, Denver, CO 80229
Our team building experience was surprisingly fun, even though none of us were very gifted to start. We all looked like clumsy dancing penguins at first, but within the hour we’d transformed into graceful ballerinas! With Kitty’s expert guidance and divine selection of beverages – booze or non-alcoholic – it felt more like a night out with friends than work! – D
Our bestie’s birthday was an absolute blast! We learned how to share the fun with Shawn, who showed us the ropes for optimal hand and feet positioning — plus other techniques that made throwing everything a cakewalk. There is already plans in motion for another visit – it was truly unforgettable! – j
Dagar Downtown Art Gallery And Axe Room
I did say Denver has small indy options, and… this certainly fits the bill. Opened in 2017 they’re an interesting mix of independent art galleries and axe-throwing venues. Yes, those things are separate.
It’s a pretty quirky space and they allow smaller group sizes which is always a plus.
Price Range: $$
Address: 2000 Lawrence St, Denver, CO 80205
My family decided to try our hands at the ‘sport’ of axe throwing, and Stephen was on hand as coach, bartender AND general all-rounder. At Dagar they’ve got a great range of beers going for cheap prices – no food options unfortunately BUT you can bring your own snacks! Our vivacious guide made my daughter’s day when he gave her a good sport award (outta his own pocket!) – turns out that even though she medaled in track while college couldn’t save her from an unfortunate single stick performance… luckily it didn’t put too much damper on the fun atmosphere! Oh yeah – did I mention? Most employees were veterans so we raised some glasses both literally-and figuratively to thank them for their service before concluding what ended up being one really enjoyable afternoon!! – S
Kenny’s crew was all set for a night of exciting fun, only to be greeted by an event whiter than the paper plates they served from. With nowhere to throw out their beers, attendees had no choice but enter without one – only later learning that rule didn’t apply when it came time for those behind the counter! Throw till you drop seemed like their plan B until boredom kicked in faster then expected: mini golf with accompanying kids appeared more appealing and twice as entertaining! Kenny is certainly nice enough…but apparently leading adults isn’t his specialty laden-style yet. – J
